Emiliana is more than just a name. It’s the story of ice cream made differently – slowly, carefully, with full attention to detail.
It’s the story of our family, making gelato for over 60 years – from Zagreb, to Bol, to Split.
In 2019, we opened Gelateria Emiliana in Split.
In 2024, we moved to a new, more beautiful space – Pistura 1 – and brought everything that makes us who we are.
Unfortunately, someone remained at our former location and continued using our name. They may have the sign, but they don’t have the soul.
They have nothing to do with us, our ice cream, or the way we work.
We are not affiliated with that place in any way.
Truly One of a Kind – Because We Make It Differently
We don’t use fast machines or industrial bases.
We use traditional batch freezers, which work slowly, incorporating very little air — just like in the old days. This gives our ice cream a unique creaminess and depth of flavor you’ll recognize instantly.
Our Method:
We make every flavor daily, in small batches
We never use chemical stabilizers or shortcuts
We bake our own cones – by hand, fresh every day

Our frappes are made with a rich gelato base, blended to perfection for a creamy, refreshing treat. Each cup is handcrafted using our artisan Italian-style gelato, delivering full flavor and a smooth texture – the perfect cool-down in the heart of Split’s Old Town.
